Softball Recap: Ventura Takes a Loss

Ventura lost against Grace back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 5-3. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Makayla Halley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Brooklynn Bishop also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Ventura's record is now 14-5. As for Grace, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ventura will take on San Marcos at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Grace, they will face off against Bishop Diego at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
