Football Recap: Southeast Whitfield County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Southeast Whitfield County's offense. They were outmatched by the Coosa Eagles and fell 34-0. The Raiders have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Coosa's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Charlie Cannon, who threw for 173 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 44 yards and one TD. Those 44 rushing yards gave Cannon a new career-high. Xander Sledge helped out on the ground, rushing for 92 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Southeast Whitfield County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast Whitfield County will welcome Murray County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Coosa, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Model at 7:30 p.m.
