Brandon has gone 8-2 against Germantown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Brandon is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Mississippi's top teams: Madison Central, who was ranked tenth at the time (Brandon was ranked third). The Bulldogs walked away with a 3-1 win over the Jaguars on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since August 9, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Brandon got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 29-31, 25-23, 26-24.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Germantown, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against D'Iberville by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Germantown took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-10.

Germantown is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season. As for Brandon, their victory bumped their record up to 27-8.
