Softball Recap: Sandalwood Takes a Loss

Sandalwood's last matchup with Mandarin could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Thursday. The Saints came up short against the Mustangs, falling 11-2. The Saints haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Sandalwood's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Mandarin, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Sandalwood will challenge Nease at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Saints surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mandarin, they will face off against Middleburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
