Baseball Game Preview: Westinghouse Bulldogs vs. Carrick Raiders

Westinghouse is 0-3 against Carrick since April of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Bulldogs will head out to take on the Raiders at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Westinghouse will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Perry Traditional Academy on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Commodores a 17-0 shutout. Considering the Bulldogs' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Carrick played against Perry Traditional Academy on Tuesday and won via forfeit.

Carrick now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Westinghouse, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Westinghouse might still be hurting after the 14-1 defeat they got from Carrick in their previous matchup last Tuesday. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
