Basketball Recap: A.C. Flora Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

With a playoff win on the line, A.C. Flora rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They strolled past the Seneca Bobcats with points to spare, taking the game 66-48.

Teonna Draughn was her usual excellent self, putting up 27 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Skylar McCray, who posted 15 points.

A.C. Flora was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seneca only five assists.

Seneca lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Savannah Weston, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 46% in the last seven games she's played. Miyana Chamberlain was another key player, going 5-for-11 en route to 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

A.C. Flora's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Seneca, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-14.

Coming up, A.C. Flora will take on Daniel at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Daniel will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something A.C. Flora surely won't give up without a fight. Seneca does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
