Soccer Recap: Palm Desert Takes a Loss

Palm Desert pushed their score to seven the last time they played Coachella Valley, but on Monday they couldn't quite do it again. The Palm Desert Aztecs fell just short of the Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Aztecs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Palm Desert's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-2. As for Coachella Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palm Desert and La Quinta will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Coachella Valley, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on December 30th.
