Soccer Recap: Lotus School for Excellence's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

While Lotus School For Excellence's victory against Victory Prep Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Meteors' defense stepped up to hand the Knights a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Lotus School For Excellence were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Aya Mushawlah, who's now up to two this season.

With the win, Lotus School For Excellence broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-3-1. As for Victory Prep Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Lotus School For Excellence will challenge Mile High Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Victory Prep Academy, they will face off against Twin Peaks Classical Academy on Friday.
