Basketball Game Preview: Crimson Cliffs Mustangs vs. Pine View Panthers

Crimson Cliffs is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Pine View is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs will welcome the Pine View Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Crimson Cliffs beat Hurricane 80-68.

Meanwhile, Pine View hadn't done well against Dixie recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Pine View managed a 48-44 victory over Dixie.

Crimson Cliffs better keep an eye on Jelani Odjegba. He was instrumental in Pine View's win, going 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points along with six assists and five boards. What's more, Odjegba also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Lucas Papa was another key player, putting up eight points and ten rebounds.

Pine View is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Crimson Cliffs, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

Crimson Cliffs didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Pine View when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 62-57 victory.
