Basketball Recap: Addison Takes a Loss

Addison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 66-40 to the Arkport Central/Canaseraga Wolves, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, with their most recent loss being a 41-36 defeat back in January.

Arkport Central/Canaseraga found their leader in sophomore Caden Carey, who posted 32 points and seven boards. Carey's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Devin Moran, who scored nine points and seven rebounds.

Addison's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Arkport Central/Canaseraga, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, Addison will square off against Alfred-Almond at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Addison is facing Alfred-Almond at the right time seeing as Alfred-Almond is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. Arkport Central/Canaseraga does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
