Basketball Recap: Center Hill Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Center Hill and Grenada, and Grenada kept the tradition alive. The Mustangs fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 50-47 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly three points.

Grenada can attribute much of their success to Fletcher Hargers Jr., who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. Brody Jackson was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Center Hill dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 4.5 points. As for Grenada, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Center Hill will welcome Southwind at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Jaguars have now posted at least 55 points in their last six games. As for Grenada, they will venture away from home to face off against Rosa Fort at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.
