Phillipsburg came into Thursday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Hoxie Indians on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Indians back in September, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Phillipsburg not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hoxie between 19 and 21 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21.

Phillipsburg's win bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Hoxie, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-13-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Phillipsburg is set to square off against their familiar foe Norton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Hoxie will face off against rival Smith Center on Saturday.
