Softball Recap: Elba's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Elba can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top against the New Brockton Gamecocks by a score of 4-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-6 back in March.

Kalleigh Russell was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Ana Caldwell was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.

Elba's victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for New Brockton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elba will welcome Florala at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Brockton, they will be playing at home against Pike County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
