Basketball Recap: Bluffton Piles Up the Points Against Southern Wells

Bluffton extended their winning streak to six on Saturday, bumping them up to 8-2. They really took it to the Southern Wells Raiders for the full four quarters, racking up an 86-41 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 31 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Konley Ault, who shot 68% from the field en route to 32 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 45.9% field goal percentage. Khloe Dick was another key player, going 6-for-10 to rack up 20 points.

Bluffton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southern Wells only pulled down six offensive rebounds.

As for Southern Wells, they moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Gracie Reeves and Cadence Watkins certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Reeves shot 75% from the field on her way to 17 points, while Watkins posted nine points. Remi Holmes also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Bluffton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-22 win against Wabash on the 9th. As for Southern Wells, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-55 defeat against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian on the 9th.
