Basketball Game Preview: Bellaire Big Reds vs. Weir Red Riders

Having just played yesterday, the Bellaire Big Reds will get right back to it and host the Weir Red Riders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Weir took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bellaire, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bellaire beat Barnesville 44-38. Given the Big Reds' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Shamrocks are ranked 440th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Weir lost 75-50 to Steubenville on Thursday. The Red Riders haven't had much luck with the Big Red recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Bellaire's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Weir, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Bellaire and Weir were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but Bellaire came up empty-handed after a 47-46 defeat. Can Bellaire avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
