Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Montini Catholic walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 47-33 victory over the Rochester Rockets on Friday. The Broncos' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

It was another big night for Israel Abrams, who threw for 425 yards and four TDs while picking up 14.2 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 47 yards and one touchdown. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Charles Flowers, who rushed for 95 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries.

Montini Catholic didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Payton Nelson and Johnny Louise. Nelson has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last five times he's played. Montini Catholic got some further help from Santino Tenuta: he made 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defended one pass.

When it comes to explaining why Rochester lost, don't look at Evrim Tabag. Despite the final result, he rushed for 69 yards and three TDs. Kaiden Stout was another key player, rushing for 94 yards on only 11 carries.

Montini Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Rochester, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 12-2 record.

As of now, neither Montini Catholic nor the Rockets have any future games scheduled.
