Baseball Recap: King's Academy Comes Up Short

If King's Academy was riding high fresh off their 14-3 takedown of Union County last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. King's Academy fell just short of Lakeway Christian Academy by a score of 6-4 on Monday. King's Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lakeway Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

King's Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tarrick Medina, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Medina a new career-high.

King's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, their record is now 15-5.

While King's Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
