Cane Bay hadn't done well against James Island recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Cane Bay Cobras never let the James Island Trojans get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. For the Cobras, this counts as revenge for the 7-0 win the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2020.

Eiliyah Tomes and Claire Orth scored both of Cane Bay's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Cane Bay and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for James Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
