Baseball Game Preview: Lake Placid Dragons vs. Sebring Blue Streaks

Lake Placid is 1-9 against Sebring since February of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Lake Placid will look to defend their home field against Sebring at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Things were looking good for Lake Placid after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of St. Albans by a score of 8-7. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lake Placid saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Griffin Von Merveldt, who scored a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Eddie Baldwin also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Sebring's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They came up short against Bishop Verot, falling 6-0.

Sebring's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Lake Placid, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
