Monterey is a perfect 9-0 against Seaside since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Dores will square off against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Monterey has four straight victories, Seaside has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Monterey picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against Moreau Catholic by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Seaside came up short against Carmel on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

While Seaside was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-15, 25-21.

Seaside's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Monterey, their win bumped their record up to 22-12.

Everything went Monterey's way against Seaside when the teams last played on April 3rd, as Monterey made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dores since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
