Basketball Recap: New Washington Skates Past Crothersville with Ease

New Washington's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They breezed by the Crothersville Tigers to the tune of 62-31. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Crothersville had strong showings from Kelsie Walker, who posted 12 points, and Bella Riley, who scored six points. The dominant performance gave Walker a new career-high in points.

New Washington's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-17. As for Crothersville, they dropped their record down to 4-17 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

New Washington will venture away from home to face off against Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crothersville has already played their next match (against Milan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
