Softball Recap: Lincoln County Continues Road Dominance on Saturday

Lincoln County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Moapa Valley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lincoln County Lynx were the clear victor by a 14-3 margin over the Moapa Valley Pirates on Saturday. The win was just business as usual for the Lynx, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Lincoln County got a big performance out of Bentley Barnes, who scored four runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. Those four runs gave Barnes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Kirchefer, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Lincoln County pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.6 runs. As for Moapa Valley, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 2-2.

Lincoln County has already played their next contest (against Pahranagat Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Moapa Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Canyon Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Moapa Valley is facing Canyon Springs at the right time seeing as Canyon Springs is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
