Baseball Game Preview: Forest Park Rangers vs. North Posey Vikings

The Forest Park Rangers will head out on the road to take on the North Posey Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forest Park will be strutting in after a win while North Posey will be coming in after a defeat.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Forest Park and Loogootee meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Rangers never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Rangers have beaten the Lions the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Lions has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, North Posey didn't have quite enough to beat Castle on Monday and fell 5-3.

Kade Buecher was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Forest Park now has a winning record of 7-6. As for North Posey, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Forest Park couldn't quite finish off North Posey in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 2-0. Can the Rangers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
