Volleyball Recap: Wellington Wolverines vs. Park Vista Cobras
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wellington had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Park Vista Cobras as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in September.
The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 29-27, 25-14.
Jillian St.Leger paced Wellington's offense, picking up 16 kills. St.Leger got some help from
Madelyn Lee and her 26 assists. Lee was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.
The win (which was Wellington's third in a row) raised their record to 9-12. As for Park Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
Wellington has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Palm Beach Central on the 17th. Park Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
