Baseball Game Preview: Channelview Falcons vs. Pasadena Memorial Mavericks

The Channelview Falcons will take on the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks in a tournament on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Channelview: 1.9, Pasadena Memorial: 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Pasadena Memorial will be up against a hot Channelview squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Channelview was the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over Westfield on Friday.

Channelview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devan Martinez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That run was Martinez's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Pasadena Memorial beat Manvel 8-5 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pasadena Memorial.

Channelview's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Pasadena Memorial, the win got them back to even at 4-4-1.
