Softball Recap: Curry Wins Going Away Against Oak Mountain

While Curry put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Oak Mountain. The Yellowjackets put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 8-0 win. Considering the Yellowjackets have won 25 matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Ambrey Taylor, who fired off two home runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Teel, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Curry was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in 12 consecutive games.

Curry's victory bumped their record up to 40-2. As for Oak Mountain, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 20-16 record.

Coincidentally, Curry and Oak Mountain will both be playing Dothan the next time they take the field. The Eagles will head out to face the Wolves at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Yellowjackets will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
