Basketball Recap: Colleton County Comes Up Short

Colleton County played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes and fell 77-17. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Skyla Tuthill was her usual excellent self, putting up 23 points for Ashley Ridge. The matchup was Tuthill's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Kelly, who posted 13 points.

Colleton County now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Ashley Ridge, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Colleton County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-30 defeat against Fort Dorchester on the 13th. As for Ashley Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-39 win against Lucy Beckham on the 13th.
