Basketball Recap: Watertown Comes Up Short

If Watertown was riding high fresh off their 54-28 takedown of Lincoln last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Watertown Arrows came up short against the Washington Warriors on Friday, falling 63-38. While losing is never fun, the Arrows can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Warriors are ranked tenth).

Watertown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Washington, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Looking ahead, Watertown will be playing at home against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington, they will venture away from home to square off against Brandon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
