Basketball Recap: Charleston Math & Science Takes a Loss

Charleston Math & Science was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 61-6 defeat at the hands of Palmetto Christian Academy. The Riptide were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-6.

Despite the loss, Charleston Math & Science still got an impressive performance from Cynay Taylor, who posted six points. That was a full 100% of Charleston Math & Science's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Charleston Math & Science's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Charleston Math & Science wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 27-14 win against Beaufort Academy on the 13th. Palmetto Christian Academy has also already played their next contest, a 70-44 defeat against Northwood Academy on the 13th.
