Basketball Preview: Malverne Mules vs. Lawrence Golden Tornadoes
After three games on the road, Malverne is heading back home. They will take on the Lawrence Golden Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Malverne, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-45 loss to the Quakers. Malverne has not had much luck with the Quakers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Lawrence, who are still winless after their 17th match. They took a 44-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clarke on Thursday.
Malverne's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lawrence, they dropped their record down to 0-17 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Malverne against the Golden Tornadoes in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 69-37 victory. Will Malverne repeat their success, or do the Golden Tornadoes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
