Basketball Recap: Wynot's Loss Ends 11-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Wynot was feeling good fresh off their 60-38 takedown of Wausa last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wynot Blue Devils were beaten by the West Point-Beemer Cadets 73-30 on Saturday. The contest marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Wynot's loss ended an 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2. As for West Point-Beemer, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Wynot will take on Archangels Catholic in a tournament on Monday. As for West Point-Beemer, they will be taking part in a tournament against Crofton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. West Point-Beemer is on a three-game streak of home wins, Crofton a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
