Charlestown has gone a perfect 5-0 against New Washington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Pirates will host the Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Charlestown's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while New Washington has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Charlestown had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Corydon Central put an end to it on Tuesday. The Pirates fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Pirates were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, New Washington lost 17-1 to Borden on Wednesday.

New Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Charlestown, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-5.

Charlestown took their win against New Washington in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 18-7 score. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
