Baseball Recap: Five Straight Road Wins for Bishop's

Bishop came out on top against La Jolla Country Day on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Knights took their contest against the Torreys 5-2. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered an 8-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Henry Armstrong spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bishop's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dane Larson, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Bishop's pushed their record up to 11-5-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for La Jolla Country Day, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-9 record.

Bishop's will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Torreys: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
