Soccer Game Preview: Willow Spring vs. Corinth Holders

The Willow Spring Storm will head out on the road to face off against the Corinth Holders Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Willow Spring comes in on 11 and Corinth Holders on four.

Willow Spring's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Cleveland as they made off with a 6-0 win. Considering Willow Spring have won ten games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Corinth Holders made sure to put some goals up on the board against South Garner on Monday. They blew past the Titans 6-1. Corinth Holders are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the seventh matchup they've won by 3+ goals this season.

They hit South Garner with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Samantha Fore (2), Kendall Wells (2), Marley Santarsiero, and Ella Searer.

Willow Spring's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those seven games. As for Corinth Holders, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4-3.

Willow Spring came out on top in a nail-biter against Corinth Holders in their previous matchup on April 8th, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Storm since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
