Basketball Recap: Colton Kincade Key Part of a Team Effort in Roughriders Win

West Jefferson's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They managed a 51-46 win over the Greenon Knights. The Roughriders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

West Jefferson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colton Kincade, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 17 points. The dominant performance gave Kincade a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Switalski, who went 5 of 10 en route to 15 points and five boards.

The win got West Jefferson back to even at 6-6. As for Greenon, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Jefferson will host West Liberty-Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenon, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Catholic Central at 7:30 p.m.
