Baseball Recap: Springbrook Comes Up Short

Springbrook came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Richard Montgomery Rockets, falling 15-4. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Springbrook saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Reiner, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Reiner is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Springbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Richard Montgomery, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-10-1.

Looking ahead, Springbrook will face off against Northwood on Tuesday. As for Richard Montgomery, they will challenge Whitman at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
