Basketball Recap: Indiana Hostetler Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bear Creek

After losing to Bear Creek the last time they met, Chatfield decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Chatfield Chargers blew past the Bear Creek Bears 76-56 on Wednesday. The Chargers pushed the score to 55-34 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bears cut but never quite recovered from.

Chatfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Indiana Hostetler, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points. The dominant performance also gave Hostetler a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Taylor Stange, who posted 11 points.

Despite the loss, Bear Creek still got an impressive performance from Elias Pacheco, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 19 points.

Chatfield's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9. As for Bear Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Chatfield has already played their next game (against Arvada West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bear Creek is taking a road trip to take on Columbine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbine is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.5 points per game this season.
