Volleyball Recap: Reedy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Graice Wade and Paige Hawkinson

Reedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the V.R. Eaton Eagles. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in August of 2023.

Reedy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made V.R. Eaton work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-18.

Reedy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Paige Hawkinson, who had 12 assists and six digs, and Graice Wade, who had seven digs and one assist. Hawkinson is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Reedy's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for V.R. Eaton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Reedy has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Cleburne on the 21st. As for V.R. Eaton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Grand Oaks on the 21st.
