Football Game Preview: Oceanside vs. Mountain Valley

Mountain Valley will challenge Oceanside on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.

Mountain Valley had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 22-15 win over Spruce Mountain. No one put up better numbers for Mountain Valley than junior Jasper Turner, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 39 yards and 2 touchdowns. In fact, with ten tackles Turner was a force on both sides of the ball.

As for Oceanside, Oceanside had a rough outing against Medomak Valley two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Oceanside took their contest against Belfast last Friday by a conclusive 48-22 score. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Oceanside's flat performance the match before.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-2. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Mountain Valley and Oceanside clash.
