After only one  run in their last  contest, Newton made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Clarke Central  on Wednesday. The Rams were the clear victors by  a  14-6 margin over the Gladiators. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six  runs or more this season.
 Kassidy Scott made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Scott was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  triple.
 In other batting news, Newton got a  massive  performance out of  Janiyah Henderson, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Those  RBI marked the first that  Henderson has  brought in this season. Another player making a difference was  Londyn Parks, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double.
 Newton was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .606. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
Newton now  has a winning record of 14-13. As for Clarke Central, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record  this season.
 Newton will face off against North Gwinnett at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Clarke Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
