The Niwot Cougars will take on the Fort Collins Lambkins in a tournament on Friday. Niwot has given up an average of 59.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Niwot came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against Discovery Canyon, falling 63-32.

Meanwhile, Fort Collins came up short against Standley Lake on Wednesday and fell 59-46. The Lambkins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Niwot will have to contain Lucas Dowling as he made an impact in Fort Collins' last game. He shot 73% from the field to rack up 21 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Dowling has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Simon, who posted eight points.

Fort Collins' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Niwot, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
