Baseball Recap: Vista's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Vista barely beat Rancho Buena Vista the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers blew past the Longhorns 10-1 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Panthers have posted against the Longhorns since June 1, 2021.

Seth Coleman looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

At the plate, Tyler Lee was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Salazar, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

The victory was the third in a row for Vista, bringing their record up to 10-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
