Football Recap: Bishop Leblond Takes Down Stewartsville in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Bishop LeBlond had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Stewartsville Cardinals 64-36. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

Bishop LeBlond had a senior duo take command as Cooper Tabor rushed for 56 yards and three TDs and David Aberer gained 182 total yards and three touchdowns. Tabor's passing game has become a key predictor of the Eagles' success: the team is 4-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise.

Bishop LeBlond was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 228 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 163 rushing yards in five consecutive games.

Bishop LeBlond's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Stewartsville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Coming up, Bishop LeBlond will square off against St. Joseph Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stewartsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
