Eastern waltzed into their matchup on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the South Charleston Black Eagles as they made off with a 16-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven games by 11 runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Aedre Ault 2028, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, two triples, and five RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Emma Putman 2025 was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI.

Eastern's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for South Charleston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
