Softball Recap: East Aurora Has No Trouble Against Cleveland Hill

East Aurora's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Cleveland Hill Golden Eagles as they made off with a 13-1 victory. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ava ?MJ? Improta made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). Improta was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season.

In other batting news, Sabrina Sultana was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caelan Legg, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

East Aurora's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Cleveland Hill, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, East Aurora will host Wilson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lakemen have averaged an impressive 13.2 runs per game this season. As for Cleveland Hill, they will head out on the road to challenge Tonawanda at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
