The Georgetown Eagles will challenge the Lake Belton Broncos at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Georgetown knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Lake Belton likes a good challenge.
On Friday, Georgetown was fully in charge, breezing past Glenn 57-14. With the Eagles ahead  31-0 at the half, the  contest was all but over already.
Meanwhile,  Lake Belton played a tough  matchup  on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through  a    49-21 loss at the hands of Cedar Park. The Broncos were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
 Georgetown will have to contain  Zion Harness as he made an impact in Lake Belton's last game. He picked up 172 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns, and also rushed for 61 yards. Harness was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.  Jessiah James was another key player, throwing for 264 yards and two  TDs while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt.
 Lake Belton dropped their record down to 4-4 with the  defeat, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Georgetown, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
 Everything came up roses for Georgetown against Lake Belton in their previous matchup  back in November of 2024, as the  team secured  a  65-21 victory. In that  game, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of  51-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat  on Friday.
