Football Recap: Shadow Creek Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Shadow Creek won the last time they faced Sam Rayburn and Tavis Coleman did his part to make sure it happened again. The Sharks blew past the Texans 62-0 on Friday thanks in part to Coleman, who threw for 227 yards and four TDs while completing 90% of his passes. Shadow Creek is undefeated when Coleman posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jacier Pace, who rushed for 93 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 58 yards.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Shadow Creek, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of B.J. LaFell, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Shadow Creek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.4 points over those games. As for Sam Rayburn, they dropped their record down to 5-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

As of now, neither Shadow Creek nor the Texans have any future games scheduled.
