Preview: Tri-Central Trojans vs. Cowan Blackhawks

The Tri-Central Trojans will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Cowan Blackhawks at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Tri-Central kicked off their season on the road last Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a rough 80-34 loss at the hands of Tipton. Tri-Central found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and rack up 14 fewer assists than your opponent.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Trenton Patz, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Drake Ramseyer, who scored 12 points.

Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Cowan had to settle for a 42-40 defeat against Elwood on Tuesday. Cowan has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Like Cowan, they lost despite seeing results from several players. Mason Kidd led the charge by scoring 14 points along with 5 assists. Griffin Smith was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 8 rebounds.

Tri-Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Cowan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Tri-Central came up short against Cowan when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 84-71. Will Tri-Central have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
