Lincoln County had lost seven games straight , but after bumping their record up to 6-12 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Awaken Christian Lions 13-11. Considering the Lynx's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

As for Awaken Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

For Awaken Christian's part, Lucas Wulfenstein led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The Lions are 4-1 when Wulfenstein posts two or more runs, but 4-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Mcduffie, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
