Football Game Preview: Monsignor Farrell Lions vs. Iona Prep Gaels

Monsignor Farrell hasn't had much luck against Iona Prep recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Gaels at 2:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Monsignor Farrell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Chaminade, posting a 34-3 win. The victory was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Iona Prep's win came from a few key players Monsignor Farrell will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Crew Davis, who rushed for 162 yards and one score while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 75 receiving yards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 105.5 rushing yards per game. Julian Guzman was another key player, rushing for 65 yards and one touchdown.

Iona Prep's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Monsignor Farrell, their win bumped their record up to an identical 9-1.
